By means of the discharge control method and the system for the silo, the flow of materials to be conveyed can be set as the belt conveyor preset value according to a production scheduling plan of a coal transporting port, the actual material flow of the belt conveyor (3) can accord with the belt conveyor preset value through the adjustment of the material discharge quantity of the feeder (2) located at the bottom of the silo, and thereby the material flow can be controlled.
