The filled soil in the abutment with the digging depth of at least above the conical slope protection surface of the U-shaped bridge abutment 1 is replaced with the mortar rubbles or the low-strength rubble concrete so as to radically eliminate the soil side pressure in the range. After the bridge abutment is reinforced, the diseases are not developed, and the bridge abutment is free from side pressure and settlement and high in strength.
