By means of the control method, the battery energy storage system is combined with wind power generation for application, and by controlling charging and discharging of the battery energy storage system, the wind power curtailment can be reduced, and accordingly grid integration capability of a wind power plant is effectively improved. When curtailment occurs in the wind power plant, the control method for reducing curtailment is provided, so that the battery energy storage system can absorb the wind power which cannot be used in grid integration directly, utilization efficiency of wind resources is improved, and economical efficiency is improved to a certain degree. By means of the control method for reducing wind power curtailment of the battery storage system, state of charge (SOC) level of the battery energy storage system can be maintained, so that overcharging or deep discharging of the battery energy storage system is prevented, and safe and reliable operation of the whole system can be maintained.
