The power line channel response method includes acquiring a port which is one of other ports except for a source port and a destination port; recording an acquired port when a channel response from the source port to the acquired port and a channel response from the acquired port to the destination port are known; repeating the above steps until all ports are acquired; determining a first sub-network; determining a first channel response via the first sub-network; removing the recorded ports and circuits connected with the recorded ports from the multi-port electric circuit network by the aid of the first sub-network to acquire a network; determining a second channel response for each recorded port by the aid of the channel response from the source port to the recorded port and the channel response from the recorded port to the destination port; and synthesizing the first channel response and the various second channel responses to obtain a channel response of the multi-port electric circuit network.
