Abstract

The invention provides a method for strengthening rod pieces of a steel structural dome. The method includes the steps that (1) a sleeve pipe is manufactured according to an upfront design, and the inner diameter of the sleeve pipe is larger than the outer diameter of a rod piece to be strengthened; (2) the sleeve pipe is divided into a plurality of slice bodies in the vertical direction, and the slice bodies are split-jointed and fixed to form the sleeve pipe in sequence; (3) an intersecting line notch which is used for being connected with the outer side of a rod piece to be welded is formed in the end portion of the sleeve pipe; (4) a plurality of limit rings are fixed on the outer side of the rod piece to be strengthened; (5) the slice bodies of the sleeve pipe are arranged on the outer side of the rod piece to be strengthened and the outer sides of the limit rings, the intersecting line notch formed in the end portion of the sleeve pipe is connected with the rod piece to be welded, and the sleeve pipe is fixed; (6) a butting joint welding seam of adjacent slice bodies of the sleeve pipe is welded; (7) the end portion of the sleeve pipe is welded to form the rod piece to be welded along the intersecting line notch.
