Embodiment Construction

[0024] A user equipment (UE) configured for multi-group communication is disclosed. The UE includes a processor and instructions stored in memory in electronic communication with the processor. The UE detects multiple cells. The UE also determines to use multiple groups of one or more cells. Based on UE-specific radio resource control (RRC) signaling, the UE further determines a primary secondary cell (PSCell) for the non-primary cell (non-PCell) group. The UE additionally uses multiple groups to receive information. Determining the PSCell based on RRC signaling may include receiving a message that explicitly identifies the PSCell. Determining the PSCell based on RRC signaling may include determining the PSCell based on an SCell with a random access channel (RACH), an SCell with the lowest order in the group configuration, or a reference cell for uplink timing.

[0025] The UE may also configure a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) for one or more non-PCell groups. T...

Abstract

A User Equipment (UE) configured for multi-group communications is described. The UE includes a processor and instructions stored in memory that is in electronic communication with the processor. The UE detects a plurality of cells. The UE also uses multiple groups of one or more cells. The UE further adjusts uplink transmission timing of one or more cells of each group such as each group has the same timing. The multiple groups consist of a primary cell (PCell) group including PCell and one or more non-primary (non-PCell) groups not including PCell.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates generally to communication systems. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to devices for multi-group communication. Background technique [0002] Wireless communication devices have become smaller and more powerful to meet consumer demands and to improve portability and convenience. Consumers have become dependent on wireless communication devices and have come to expect reliable service, expanded coverage areas, and enhanced functionality. A wireless communication system may provide communication for a plurality of wireless communication devices, each of which may be served by a base station. A base station may be a fixed station that communicates with wireless communication devices. [0003] As wireless communication devices advance, improvements in communication capability, speed and / or quality have been sought. However, improvements in communication capability, speed and / or quality may require increase...
