Embodiment Construction

[0022] Referring to the drawings, reference numeral 1 generally indicates a modular semi-submersible structure according to the present invention.

[0023] The modular semi-submersible structure 1 comprises a platform 2 on which tourist, residential, commercial, industrial vehicles of heavy weight and size can be carried near the coast or in lake or river water and in unprotected, offshore areas. or military structure S, as in e.g. Figure 5 , Figure 6 , Figure 7 as well as Figure 8 shown in .

[0024] The structures formed on the platform 2 can be of any kind, such as hotel structures, entertainment structures, cultural structures, sports structures, industrial structures, military structures, oil and gas structures, conventional energy production structures, renewable energy production structures, waste disposal Structures, signaling structures, environmental monitoring structures, processing structures, airport structures, naval ship supply structures, storage struct...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a modular semi-submersible structure (1), comprising a platform for boarding various types of structures in the vicinity of coasts or of lake or river banks. The structure (1) comprises two or more semi-submersible modules (10, 10', 10") connected to each other, each of which comprises: a deck (11) which in conditions of use is emerged and defines a portion of said platform; a hull (12) which is positioned under the deck, is provided internally with first watertight compartments having a ballast function and in conditions of use is submerged; and a plurality of columns (13) which structurally connect the hull to the deck and have inside them second watertight compartments having a ballast function. The semi-submersible structure comprises arms (16) which structurally connect adjacent semi-submersible modules to each other. The invention also relates to a method for making such semi-submersible structure.

Description

[0001] Field of application [0002] The present invention relates to a modular semi-submersible structure and a method for manufacturing such a structure. [0003] The modular semi-submersible structure can be used to realize a platform capable of boarding tourist, residential, commercial, industrial or military structures near the shore or in lake or river water and unprotected offshore areas. Background of the invention [0004] The absence of territory near marine or lakeside locations of significant environmental and commercial value has prompted the search for options for operating near coasts or embankments (often in unprotected areas or away from ports and landing places) floating solution. An example is given by a structure near an estuary, a port, or just a commercial berth, with a logistic, energy or even tourist role. [0005] Known solutions contemplate pontoons usable in harbor environments and protected waters. However, such solutions of the known type are re...
