Embodiment Construction

[0035] figure 1 An example is shown for a loom according to the invention with a device for monitoring yarn over-tensioning. The loom has a gripper 1 for introducing the weft thread into the shed. However, such looms are usually also equipped with two grippers 1, one of which brings the weft thread to the middle of the fabric 9 and the other pulls the weft thread outward from the center.

[0036] The warp threads 2 can be drawn off, for example, from warp beams, not shown, which are arranged above the weaving machine and extend substantially in the warp direction 20 in the weaving machine. In the present example, there are healds 3.1 as shedding elements 3, which are moved alternately up and down via a shedding drive (for example a dobby with a spindle), not shown. figure 1 The weaving machine is shown with warp threads 2 guided by the healds 3 . 1 in such a way that the warp threads 2 are brought alternately into the upper shed 21 and into the lower shed 22 by the movement ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for monitoring thread overtension in a weaving machine having mechanical weft insertion elements (1) and also to a weaving machine having an apparatus for carrying out the method. In this case, threads (2) which extend in a warp direction (20) are supplied from a thread store to shedding elements (3) via a thread stop motion (4), wherein, when the tension in one of the threads (2) drops below a particular level, a signal is generated at the weaving machine by the thread stop motion (4). The invention is characterized in that at least one group of threads (2.1, 2.2) extending in the warp direction (20) is guided between the thread store and the shedding elements (3) over an elastically deflectable thread deflecting element (5) such that, when a particular tension in one of the threads (2.1) in this group (2.1, 2.2) is exceeded, the thread deflecting element (5) is deflected such that, as a result of this deflection, the tension in at least one other thread (2.2) in this group (2.1, 2.2) is reduced to such an extent that the thread stop motion (4) generates a signal.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for monitoring yarn over-tension at a loom and a loom with a device for monitoring yarn over-tension at the loom. Background technique [0002] In the case of weaving machines, devices are known in the prior art for monitoring the direction and tension of yarns extending in the warp direction. For example the document EP262724B1 shows such a device and a method which can be implemented in this regard. Each warp yarn is guided through a suitable warp monitoring sheet, which closes the electrical contacts when the yarn tension in the corresponding warp yarn within the loom drops. Other events, such as stoppages, are triggered at the weaving machine by the closing of the contacts. [0003] Such devices are usually arranged in the yarn direction between a yarn storage for warp yarns (eg warp beams) and a device for forming the shed (eg machine shafts). The device is used to identify warp threads that are broken ...
