Abstract

The invention discloses a dynamic dimming method of a liquid crystal display LED (Light Emitting Diode) backlight. The dynamic dimming method comprises the following steps that: (1) a liquid crystal panel is divided into M*1 rectangular zones; (2) a central control module receives the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) signal of each frame of image and obtains a liquid crystal signal value and an LED backlight gray level value BL through a dynamic dimming algorithm; (3) the central control module sends the liquid crystal signal value to a liquid crystal driver module and the liquid crystal driver module controls the deflection of liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal panel according to the liquid crystal signal value; and (4) when all liquid crystal molecules of the ith rectangular zone of the liquid crystal panel are completely deflected through the time of ti according to the liquid crystal signal value, a zone time sequence control module sends an LED starting signal to an LED driver module, and the LED driver module drives the LED backlight corresponding to the ith zone to begin emitting light according to the LED stating signal, wherein the light emitting time is in linear relation with the corresponding LED backlight gray level value.
