Abstract

The present invention provides a sheet conveyor device that restricts or reduces degradation of processing quality in a processing portion and occurrence of a sheet stacking failure on a sheet stack portion due to buildup of static electricity. The sheet conveyor device includes a processing portion; a sheet stack portion where sheets on which processing has been performed by the processing portion are stacked; and a conveyor that is configured to convey a sheet to the processing portion and further conveys the sheet along the conveyance path to the sheet stack portion. The conveyor includes an ejection roller that ejects the sheet being conveyed along the conveyance path, to the sheet stack portion. The sheet conveyor device includes a first guide surface that is disposed downstream of the ejection roller in the conveyance path and directs the sheet toward the sheet stack portion while contacting the sheet being conveyed; a contact portion that is exposed at the midway of the first guide surface and comes into contact with the sheet being conveyed; and a conducting member having a discharge portion that discharges static electricity transferred to the contact portion by contact between the sheet and the contact portion.
