Abstract

The invention relates to an isolating converter and a switching power supply comprising the isolating converter. The isolating converter comprises a transformer, a power switch, a switch control circuit, a voltage feedback circuit, an overvoltage protection circuit and a secondary-side rectifying circuit. The power switch is connected between an input voltage source and the first end of a primary-side winding. The second end of the primary-side winding is connected with a ground terminal. The voltage feedback circuit is connected between the first end and the second end of the primary-side winding and used for outputting a voltage feedback signal according to the voltages across the two ends of the primary-side winding. The switch control circuit is used for outputting a switch control signal, and the switch control signal is used for controlling the power switch. The overvoltage protection circuit is used for outputting a resetting signal when the voltage feedback signal exceeds an overvoltage protection threshold, and the resetting signal is used for resetting the switch control circuit. According to the isolating converter, primary-side control of the isolating converter can still be realized on the premise that an auxiliary winding is omitted.
