According to the method, an information collection system and a fatigue computing system are established by additionally arranging strain gages on critical components of a set to compute the current state of fatigue of the set, and an existing SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) network in a wind farm can serve as information transmitting network. The wind turbine generator set fatigue state monitoring method has the advantages of combining the modern measurement technique with the fatigue theory, establishing the information collection system and the fatigue computing system by additionally arranging the strain gages on the critical components of the set, and reproducing the current state of fatigue of the set through analysis. The current state of fatigue of all sets in the wind farm can be intuitively learned to perform effective and reasonable output distribution and maintenance for the sets, so that good returns can be obtained for the wind farm.
