This invention discloses a characterization method for determining the glass fiber length distribution in recycled glass fiber reinforced nylon 6. The method includes: firstly, pulverizing and drying the sprue material of glass fiber reinforced nylon 6 injection molded products; then pretreating the sample with an organic solvent; next, placing the pretreated sample in a muffle furnace for pyrolysis to decompose the polymer matrix and separate the glass fibers; the resulting glass fibers are then oxidized and cleaned to remove residual carbon deposits, and then ultrasonically dispersed; finally, the fiber morphology is acquired by microscopic imaging, and the glass fiber length is measured and statistically analyzed using image analysis software to obtain its length distribution characteristics. This method can effectively separate glass fibers while maintaining their length characteristics, reducing fiber agglomeration and impurity interference, and improving the accuracy and stability of glass fiber length measurement results.
