1029 results about "Supervisory control" patented technology

Supervisory control is a general term for control of many individual controllers or control loops, such as within a distributed control system. It refers to a high level of overall monitoring of individual process controllers, which is not necessary for the operation of each controller, but gives the operator an overall plant process view, and allows integration of operation between controllers.

A method and apparatus for forecasting and controlling neurological abnormalities in humans such as seizures or other brain disturbances. The system is based on a multi-level control strategy. Using as inputs one or more types of physiological measures such as brain electrical, chemical or magnetic activity, heart rate, pupil dilation, eye movement, temperature, chemical concentration of certain substances, a feature set is selected off-line from a pre-programmed feature library contained in a high level controller within a supervisory control architecture. This high level controller stores the feature library within a notebook or external PC. The supervisory control also contains a knowledge base that is continuously updated at discrete steps with the feedback information coming from an implantable device where the selected feature set (feature vector) is implemented. This high level controller also establishes the initial system settings (off-line) and subsequent settings (on-line) or tunings through an outer control loop by an intelligent procedure that incorporates knowledge as it arises. The subsequent adaptive settings for the system are determined in conjunction with a low-level controller that resides within the implantable device. The device has the capabilities of forecasting brain disturbances, controlling the disturbances, or both. Forecasting is achieved by indicating the probability of an oncoming seizure within one or more time frames, which is accomplished through an inner-loop control law and a feedback necessary to prevent or control the neurological event by either electrical, chemical, cognitive, sensory, and/or magnetic stimulation.

Layered exchange and control method for real-time monitoring system data by power dispatching

The invention provides a layered exchange and control method for real-time monitoring system data by power dispatching. A CIM/XML (common information module)/(extensible markup language) interface, a CIM/E interface and other models of the electric power subsystems are processed and combined to establish a device model of the large power grid, therefore, perfect interaction of various application data including SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) real-time data, WAMS (wide area measurement system) data, EMS (enhanced message service) advanced application data and dynamic security analysis warning information can be realized, and power system control commands among the systems can be smoothly transmitted and executed. A data acquisition and exchange function can support multiple communication protocols, multi-application, multi-type and large amounts of data, satisfy the real-time requirements of all transmission environments, and provide comprehensive multi-scale real-time operation information of the power grid for other application analysis systems. A close integration mode is used to realize application integration and each subsystem and application can be monitored and managed, so a uniform access interface and a man-machine interface can be ensured to provide for each application system.

Combined wind power prediction method suitable for distributed wind power plant

The invention provides a combined wind power prediction method suitable for a distributed wind power plant. The method comprises the following steps: step 1, acquiring data and pre-processing; step 2, utilizing a training sample set and a prediction sample set which are normalized to build a wind speed prediction model based on a radial basis function neural network and predict the wind speed and variation trend of distribution fans at the next moment; step 3, building a distributed wind power plant area CFD (computational fluid dynamics) model and externally deducing the prediction wind speed of each fan in the plant area according to factors such as the terrain, coarseness and wake current influence of a distributed wind field; step 4, acquiring the power data of an SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system fan of the distributed wind field; and step 5, adopting correlation coefficients. The invention firstly provides a double-layer combined neural network to respectively predict the wind speed and power. Models are respectively built through adopting appropriate efficient neural network types, and improved particle swarm optimization with ideas of 'improvement', 'variation' and 'elimination' is additionally added to optimize the neural network, so that the speed and precision of modeling can be effectively improved, and the decoupling between wind speed and power is realized.
