Embodiment Construction

[0028] The present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

[0029] The present invention aims at combining the two standards of WiMAX and WiFi to provide mobile Internet access requirements, and designs a WiMAX / WiFi heterogeneous wireless network fusion architecture, which adopts the PMP mode, such as image 3 shown. Here WiFi considers the IEEE802.11e standard, and WiMAX considers the IEEE802.16e standard.

[0030] The present invention provides a QoS mapping method of a WiFi and WiMAX fusion model. A mapping access device is set between the WiFi and WiMAX networks. Establish a one-to-one mapping table for business flows. Through the mapping relationship, the WiFi and WiMAX networks respectively schedule the business flows of the other network as the business flows of their own network, and the data packets of the WiFi and WiMAX networks are forwarded to each other through the mapping access device. ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a QoS mapping method for a WiFi and WiMAX fused model. WiFi meets an IEEE802.11e standard, and WiMAX meets an IEEE802.16e standard. Mapping access equipment is arranged between WiFi and WiMAX networks. In the mapping access equipment, a one-to-one correspondence mapping table for service flow with the same service flow type and different service flow formats between WiMAX and WiFi is established. The WiFi and WiMAX networks respectively schedule service flow in a way of regarding service flow of the opposite-side network as service flow of the own network via a mapping relation. Mutual forwarding of data packets of the WiFi and WiMAX networks is realized via the mapping access equipment. According to the method, fusion of the WiMAX and WiFi networks can be realized via the mapping access equipment with MAC and PHY layer interfaces supporting WiFi and WiMAX simultaneously without modification of WIMAX base stations of the WiMAX network and client-terminal equipment in the WiFi network. Flow in the fused network is converged to the WIMAX base stations of the WiMAX network so that further bandwidth scheduling is facilitated. The method has advantages of being rapid in link establishment, low in deployment cost and high in use efficiency.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of network communication systems, in particular to a QoS mapping method of a WiFi and WiMAX fusion model. Background technique [0002] WiFi and WiMAX are representatives of wireless network technology, but there are very obvious differences in technology between the two. WiFi technology (IEEE802.11 series standards) designed only for wireless LAN access issues, although it provides a transmission rate of up to 54Mbps for a limited geographic coverage (radius of 35 to 100 meters), it cannot meet the requirements due to its limited coverage. The demand for future ubiquitous networks; WiMAX designed for the access problem of wireless metropolitan area network, although it provides a data rate of up to 75Mbps for fixed nodes within a range of 10km, it can maintain the data rate and have more flexibility in the transmission range , but often fail in indoor environments due to insufficient ability to penetrate obstacles. ...
