An auxiliary polaroid parallel to the liquid crystal screen is transferred to a position between the image acquiring device and the liquid crystal screen, and the polarization angle of the auxiliary polaroid is enabled to be vertical to that of a polaroid arranged on the liquid crystal screen. The liquid crystal screen is regulated to a black image; at one side end of the liquid crystal screen, a region between the polaroid on the liquid crystal screen and the auxiliary polaroid is illuminated by diffused light, and the image acquiring device is used for acquiring the image for the second time and recording the coordinates of bright points in the image. Whether dust exists inside the liquid crystal screen or not is determined according to the quantity of overlapped coordinates of the bright points in the image acquired for the second time and the black points in the image acquired for the first time.
