The method comprises the steps that a payment request and an iris template, scanned by the payment terminal, of a user are received from the payment terminal; position information of the multiple mobile terminals and position information of the payment terminal are acquired; at least one mobile terminal within a preset distance range of the payment terminal is selected; at least one first registered iris template set, associated with the at least one mobile terminal, of the user is acquired; whether registered iris templates consistent with the scanned iris template of the user exist in the first registered iris template set is queried; if yes, the identity of the user is authenticated, and the payment terminal is informed that the authentication succeeds.
