The method and device can be applied to the delivery-taking cabinet and the server of an electronic commerce system, and therefore, payment in electronic commerce does not depend on a third party payment institution, and risks of sellers and buyers can be decreased simultaneously. The data processing device of the invention comprises a delivery-taking code acquisition module, a storage module and a delivery-taking processing module; the delivery-taking code acquisition module is used for receiving identifiers of parcels and uploading the identifiers to the server, and then receiving delivery-taking codes which are corresponding to the identifiers and generated by the server; the storage module is used for correspondingly storing the identifiers of the parcels, the delivery-taking codes and the identifiers of cells where the parcels are delivered; the delivery-taking processing module is used for judging whether delivery-taking codes are correct or not when receiving the delivery-taking codes provided by an input device; and if the delivery-taking codes are correct, the delivery-taking processing module starts a payment device to receive payment under the situation that parcels corresponding to the delivery-taking codes require current payment, and after the payment is completed, the delivery-taking processing module opens the cells where the parcels are located; and the delivery-taking processing module directly opens the cells under the situation that current payment is not required.
