Abstract

The invention provides a data transmission method based on a UDP (user datagram protocol). The data transmission method comprises the following steps: identifying a network state through end-to-end characteristics of the UDP; calculating a plurality of measuring parameters; transmitting calculated results to an identifying module of a receiving end; after the identifying module identifies the network state, identifying through 3-bit data, modifying an ACK (acknowledgement character) reply packet UDP prelude, and noticing identified results to a sending end; when the sending end detects the ACK reply packet and if the network state is found to be a normal condition, regulating the size of a delay window in the self-adaptive manner according to routing hop count through a sending control module; when a network router has changes or is interrupted, re-calculating a value of a state variable and keeping consistency of load rates before and after connecting the UDP. According to the data transmission method disclosed by the invention, the sending end regulates the data sending rate in the self-adaptive manner according to available resources of existing UDP connection, and reduces jam possibility of burst traffic.
