Embodiment Construction

[0025] The application will be described in detail below in conjunction with specific implementations shown in the accompanying drawings. However, these implementations do not limit the present application, and any structural, method, or functional changes made by those skilled in the art based on these implementations are included in the protection scope of the present application.

[0026] The optical circulator of the present application includes a transmitting end 1, a common end 2, a receiving end 3 and an optical mirror group. Wherein, the common end 2 is connected to the optical fiber. Transmitter 1 inputs parallel polarized light beams, passes through isolator 7 first, then passes through optical mirror group, and exits from common terminal 2 to form the first optical path. The light beam of any polarization state is input into the common terminal 2, and then exits from the receiving terminal 3 after passing through the optical mirror group, forming the second optical...

Abstract

The invention discloses an optical circulator and a single-fiber bidirectional optical module using the same. The optical circulator comprises a transmitting end, a receiving end, a common end, a first polarization beam splitter, a second polarization beam splitter, a half wave plate and a faraday rotator. When the transmitting end transmits parallel direction polarized beams, the parallel direction polarized beams arrive at the common end at least passing the first polarization beam splitter, the half wave plate, the faraday rotator and the second polarization beam splitter in sequence; when the common end sends an optical signal, the optical signal is decomposed into a first polarized component and a second polarized component through the second polarization beam splitter, the polarization direction of the first polarized component is perpendicular to the polarization direction of the second polarized component, the first polarized component arrives at the receiving end at least passing the faraday rotator, the half wave plate and the first polarization beam splitter in sequence, and the second polarized component arrives at the receiving end at least passing the second polarization beam splitter, the faraday rotator, the half wave plate and the first polarization beam splitter in sequence. Only two polarization beam splitters are used, cost is low, and the size is small.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to an optical transceiver module in the technical field of optical fiber communication, and in particular relates to an optical circulator and a single-fiber bidirectional optical module using the optical circulator. Background technique [0002] In optical communication, the sending and receiving of optical signals requires optical fiber for transmission, and the laying of long-distance optical fiber is a huge project. Usually, the same transmission distance requires two different optical fibers to send and receive optical signals respectively. Although a lot of multiplexing research has been carried out to increase the channel capacity of optical fiber to improve the utilization of optical fiber resources, it is far from keeping up with the huge demand for optical fiber resources in the development of optical communication. [0003] The single-fiber bidirectional optical module only uses one optical fiber to transmit and receiv...
