Embodiment Construction

[0064] There may be non-material changes in this example which do not exceed the scope of the claims.

[0065] Embodiments of this device, sometimes referred to as a Reactuator, may employ any material that expands or contracts when passed through an electrical voltage or other type of electricity or electrical signal, whereby the deformation of the material can be exerted on the inner diameter of the annular outer roller table A material ring. When such contact occurs at one or more locations around the roller table, if the circular movement of the contact area is caused by the contact front section of the expanded material through the energized area, and the de-energized area (or reverse energized area) of the expanded material at the end of the contact area , then the non-contact area of the traction ring between each contact area will have a shorter perimeter distance (along the measured on the outer surface of the traction ring), as the contact area extends around the ...

Abstract

A motion producing device comprising an output member with a contact surface and a reference member. An actuator member is attached to the reference member, the actuator member having a traction surface and comprising actuator zones, each actuator zone being energizable to move a corresponding portion of the traction surface to change a contact state of the traction surface with the contact surface depending on an energized state of the actuator zone. An energy source isoperatively coupled to the actuator zones for sequentially changing the energized state of the actuator zones. The actuator member provides a torque transmission path between the reference member and the output member.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims priority under 35 USC 119(e) to US Provisional Application No. 61 / 661,802, filed June 19, 2012. technical field [0003] actuator Background technique [0004] High torque drives are not easy to invent. The invention of U.S. Patent No. 6,155,220 is a compact cam phaser with a flexible rack that is easily deformed into a non-circular shape, and has a mating ring gear or circular member at angularly spaced positions that can transmit The camshaft drive torque between them. While this prior filed patent discloses a working embodiment, it uses separate components for torque transmission rather than drive, and has some other differences compared to the present invention. Contents of the invention [0005] The inventors provide an embodiment of a mobile production plant with high torque transmission capabilities. [0006] An embodiment discloses a mobile manufacturing device comprising an output...
