Abstract

A gear cutting attachment (1) of the invention ahs a cutting tool (6) and a transmission mechanism (7). The periphery of the cutting tool (6) has a gear cutting blade. Rotation of a main shaft (2) of a general machine tool is transmitted to the cutting tool (6) by the transmission mechanism (7). A reference axis (L1) of a housing (5) is positioned in the center of the main shaft.
