Abstract

The invention discloses a switching converter, as well as a controller and a zero current detection method thereof. The switching converter comprises a first switching tube, a second switching tube and an energy storage element, wherein the second switching tube is provided with a body diode; and a current flowing through the energy storage element is increased when the first switching tube is switched on and the second switching tube is switched off, and is decreased when the first switching tube is switched off and the second switching tube is switched on. The zero current detection method comprises the steps of: adjusting an offset signal according to switching-on time of the body diode of the second switching tube; comparing the current flowing through the energy storage element with the offset signal; and switching off the second switching tube when detecting that the current of the energy storage element is reduced to be less than the offset signal.
