Abstract

The invention provides a plug cock type air valve with an elliptical spherical surface of a reciprocating compressor. The air valve comprises a valve body, a valve seat arranged in the valve body and a valve core. The valve seat is of an annular structure. Elastic sealing pieces are arranged on two sides of the annular valve seat. The valve core is an elliptical spherical surface which can be abutted in an opening of the annular valve seat. Via a valve handle and a valve rod, the valve core is rotatably installed in the valve body and is capable of swinging for 90 degrees. A driving device is arranged on the valve body. The driving device drives the valve core to rotate so as to open or seal the annular seat via the valve rod and the valve handle. According to the invention, the air valve is free from collision of parts, so fault rate is low; by use of the flexible eccentrically swinging valve core and combining response to differential pressure of the double-layer elastic sealing pieces, so the air valve is small in erosion and low in leakage rate and tightly closed. The air valve can precisely control of the law of motion, so best opening and closing action points and best swinging tracks are achieved, and improvement on overall efficiency is facilitated.
