Abstract

The present invention provides a dust collecting device and an air cleaning device using the same. The dust collecting device comprises: a vortex generating unit (10) arranged in the air supply passage; and a dust collecting chamber for collecting and accumulating dust separated by the vortex generating unit (10). The vortex generation unit (10) includes a cylindrical housing (13), which has: an air inlet (17) arranged on the upstream side of the air supply passage; an air outlet (17) arranged on the downstream side in the air supply passage 18); and a dust outlet (16) provided on the outer periphery connected to the opening of the dust collection chamber. Furthermore, the vortex generation unit (10) has a spiral rotation promoting surface (14) for promoting rotation of air, and is provided on the upstream side of the air blowing passage of the cylindrical casing (13).
