Abstract

The invention provides a tool for linear cutting of a lock ring groove. The tool comprises a tool sleeve, an upper tool plug and a lower tool pug. The tool sleeve is provided with a slot with at least one through end. The slot is divided into an upper slot portion communicated with the surface of the tool sleeve and an inner slot portion communicated with the upper slot portion. The section of the inner slot portion is slightly larger than the projection of a lock ring in the horizontal direction when an inclined angle formed between the lock ring to be machined and the horizontal direction is theta. At least one end of the upper tool plug and at least one end of the lower tool plug can pass through the inner slot portion to enter the tool sleeve, and the end faces of the ends, entering the tool sleeve, of the upper tool plug and the lower tool plug are inclined faces. The inclined angle between the inclined faces and the vertical direction is theta, and the theta is the angle of inclination of a lock ring groove.
