Problems solved by technology

All-fiber coupling must fuse multiple fibers together, which is inconvenient for operation and later maintenance
Spatial mirror coupling means that the output light of multiple fiber lasers is reflected, refracted and focused by various mirrors to form a laser beam. The arrangement of multiple mirrors needs to occupy a large volume, resulting in an excessively large volume of the fiber combiner
[0004] To sum up, the optical fiber combiner in the prior art is either inconvenient to operate and maintain in the later stage, or it is too large to meet the needs of users well. There is an urgent need for a new type of optical fiber combiner

Abstract

The invention discloses a configurable optical fiber beam combiner, which comprises a first light input coupling module, a second light input coupling module, a first connecting optical fiber, a second connecting optical fiber, a beam combining module, a third connecting optical fiber and a light output coupling module, wherein the first light input coupling module is connected with the beam combining module through the first connecting optical fiber, the second light input coupling module is connected with the beam combining module through the second connecting optical fiber, the beam combining module is connected with the light output coupling module through the third connecting optical fiber, a first input optical fiber can be directly plugged to the first connecting optical fiber, a second input optical fiber can be directly plugged to the second connecting optical fiber, and an output optical fiber is directly plugged to the light output coupling module. Through the method, the direct plugging connection of the input optical fibers and the output optical fiber can be achieved, and the operation is simple and convenient; in addition, the configurable optical fiber beam combiner adopts two optical coupling methods of spatial lens coupling and all optical fiber coupling, thereby facilitating the maintenance of the configurable optical fiber beam combiner, and reducing size of the configurable optical fiber beam combiner.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of optical coupling technology, in particular to a configurable optical fiber bundle combiner. Background technique [0002] As the market's requirements for the power and efficiency of fiber lasers continue to increase, fiber lasers are also developing in the direction of higher power, longer life, and lower cost. However, due to the influence of its manufacturing process and materials, the power of a single fiber laser is getting closer and closer to the limit value, and it is difficult to make further breakthroughs. [0003] In order to increase the power of the laser, the light output by multiple fiber lasers is usually combined to form a beam of laser light, thus a fiber combiner appears. At present, the beam combining methods of common fiber combiners include all-fiber coupling and spatial mirror coupling. All-fiber coupling must fuse multiple fibers together, which is inconvenient for operation and later main...
