Embodiment Construction

[0046] The following examples set forth the information necessary to allow one skilled in the art to practice the embodiments and illustrate the best mode for practicing the embodiments. Upon reading the following description in light of the accompanying drawing figures, those skilled in the art will understand the concepts of the disclosure and will recognize applications of these concepts not expressly addressed herein. It should be understood that these concepts and applications are within the scope of the disclosure and the appended claims.

[0047] Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to digital predistortion for concurrent multi-band transmitters that configure separate digital predistorters for each band with a single adapter and the same set of predistortion coefficients. Before discussing the embodiments of the present disclosure, the discussion utilizes such as figure 2 The concurrent dual-band transmitter 10 of the conventional dual-band predistortion base...

Abstract

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for digital predistortion of concurrent multiband transmitters that compensate for in-band and out-of-band intermodulation products based on memory polynomial-based baseband models. In one embodiment, a concurrent multi-band transmitter includes a digital predistortion subsystem, a power amplifier circuit, and an adaptation subsystem. a digital predistortion subsystem including a plurality of digital predistorters configured to process a digital input signal of a frequency band of the concurrent multiband signal to provide a predistorted digital input signal and one or more intermodulation distortion compensation signals, Each predistorted digital input signal is used for a different one of the frequency bands of the concurrent multiband signal, and each intermodulation distortion compensation signal is used for a different one of the one or more intermodulation distortion frequency bands. The adaptive subsystem is configured to adaptively configure a plurality of digital predistorters based on a memory polynomial-based digital baseband model of the digital predistorters.

Description

[0001] related application [0002] This application is a continuation of U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 13 / 969858, filed August 19, 2013, entitled "Low Complexity Digital Predistortion for Concurrent Dual-Band Transmitters," claiming 2013 Priority to US Provisional Application Serial No. 61 / 826060, filed May 22, the disclosures of which are hereby incorporated by reference in their entirety. technical field [0003] This disclosure relates to digital predistortion for concurrent multiband transmitters. Background technique [0004] In many modern applications, it is desirable to have a concurrent multiband transmitter capable of transmitting concurrent multiband signals. As used herein, a concurrent multi-band signal is a signal that occupies multiple different frequency bands. More specifically, a concurrent multi-band signal contains frequency components that occupy different contiguous bandwidths for each of the multiple frequency bands. A concurrent multiband sig...
