Abstract

The invention provides an overvoltage protection circuit. The overvoltage protection circuit is electrically connected between an input circuit and a switching power supply circuit, and comprises a first voltage input end, a second voltage input end, a voltage output end, an input voltage detection circuit, a reference voltage providing circuit and a switching tube. The first voltage input end is electrically connected with the reference voltage providing circuit, and is used for receiving a reference voltage. The second voltage input end is electrically connected with the input voltage detection circuit, and is used for receiving a voltage to be compared. The voltage output end is connected with an input undervoltage cut-off pin of a power supply control chip of the switching power supply circuit. When the input voltage to be compared is overvoltage, the voltage output end of the overvoltage protection circuit outputs a voltage control signal so as to make the switching power supply circuit stop operating. The invention further provides an overvoltage protection device.
