[0025] Subjects: 40 adult patients with an average age of 37.2 years.

Abstract

The invention provides a composition for improving intestinal functions. The composition consists of bifidobacterium lactis, lactobacillus acidophilus, streptococcus thermophilus, lactobacillus paracasei, inulin, lactitol, banana powder and alfalfa meal. Various components of the composition achieve synergetic effects, the compounded inulin and lactitol can better keep activity of probiotics, and meanwhile, an alfalfa extract and the banana powder are added, wherein the alfalfa extract enhances the effects of clearing damp-heat of spleen and stomach, benefiting large and small intestines and removing bladder stones of the formula, and the banana powder enhances the effect of loosening the bowels to relieve constipation of the formula, so that the gastrointestinal health is comprehensively conditioned; and the composition is good in stability, can directly act on the small intestines, has good adhesiveness, and is particularly suitable for body constitution of the Orientals.
