Embodiment Construction

[0090] figure 1An exemplary embodiment of a wind turbine 1 is shown having a wind turbine tower 2 and a nacelle 3 arranged on top of the wind turbine tower 2 . A yaw bearing (not shown) is arranged between the nacelle 3 and the wind turbine tower 2, and the nacelle 3 is yawed relative to the wind turbine tower 2 by means of the yaw system. A rotor hub 4 is arranged relative to the nacelle 3 and is rotatably connected to a generator (not shown) inside the nacelle 3 , for example via a shaft or main shaft. At least one wind turbine blade 5 , preferably two or three, is mounted to the rotor hub 4 . Each wind turbine blade 5 extends outward from the center of the rotor hub 4 and includes a root and a tip. The wind turbine blade 5 shown here is a full-span blade, however partial pitch blades may also be used.

Abstract

The present invention relates to an assembly stand and an assembly method for assembling a gear unit and a main shaft unit of a wind turbine. The assembly stand comprises a main shaft frame unit and a gear frame unit arranged on a base frame, wherein both frame units comprises adjustment means for adjusting the position of the main shaft unit and the gear unit in at least a horizontal or vertical direction. The main shaft unit and the gear unit are aligned by using a light source emitting a light beam onto removable guiding elements. The main shaft unit is positioned on a slidable seat and pulled into contact with the gear unit by pulling elements located on a moveable unit. The pulling element is connected to the gear unit via a wire extending through the main shaft unit.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a jig and a method for assembling a wind turbine main shaft and a wind turbine gear mechanism. Background technique [0002] It is known that today's large wind turbine main shafts are large and heavy structures since they are designed to transmit the torque generated by the wind loads acting on the rotor unit to the drive train of the nacelle. Usually, this transfer process is done by a gearbox. To accommodate the increasing size of the main shaft, the size of the gearbox has also increased. This makes the main shaft as well as the gearbox unit difficult to handle during assembly. [0003] The main shaft and the gearbox are generally assembled by using a crimp joint, during which the interface of the gearbox is heated to a preset temperature level. This heating causes the mounting interface / rotor end of the gearbox to expand, which in turn causes the gearbox to be brought into position relative to the spindle genera...
