A yaw bearing (not shown) is arranged between the nacelle 3 and the wind turbine tower 2, and the nacelle 3 is yawed relative to the wind turbine tower 2 by means of the yaw system. A rotor hub 4 is arranged relative to the nacelle 3 and is rotatably connected to a generator (not shown) inside the nacelle 3 , for example via a shaft or main shaft. At least one wind turbine blade 5 , preferably two or three, is mounted to the rotor hub 4 . Each wind turbine blade 5 extends outward from the center of the rotor hub 4 and includes a root and a tip. The wind turbine blade 5 shown here is a full-span blade, however partial pitch blades may also be used.
