Abstract

The invention discloses an antiviral double-stranded RNA and application of temperature-sensitive type gel prepared by the same in treating and preventing HSV-1 caused diseases. One strand of the double-stranded RNA is of a sequence 1 in the sequence table and the other strand thereof is of a sequence 2. Modified compound of the double-stranded RNA refers to substance obtained by chemically modifying the double-stranded RNA with 2' fluoro, 2' methoxyl, sulpho or 2' deoxidization or modifying the double-stranded RNA with cholesterol. According to tests, the temperature-sensitive type gel which is applied to skins and comprises active ingredient namely the double-stranded RNA can suppress foreign HSV-1expression of epithelial cells of the skins; thus, the temperature-sensitive type gel is applied to suppression of HSV-1 virus infection and treatment of HSV-1 caused diseases.
