Abstract

Aiming at the deficiency that a fiber-optic gyroscope cannot perform abundant and remote information transmission in a traditional serial transmission mode, an Ethernet interface on the basis of an embedded system is designed to allow the system to perform remote monitoring and access through a PC and to perform communication and information and data exchange with other embedded systems with network capabilities. A LPC1758 of a hardware system Cortex-M3 series is taken as a microprocessor, and an Ethernet controller realizes a data link layer function in the system through adoption of a built-in Ethernet module on the LPC1758 chip. The Ethernet module comprises a principal register. A register, capable of being identified by software, includes internal data processing and is able to perform access of the Ethernet module through an advanced high-performance bus AHB. The principal register and a MAC are connected with transmission and receiving data channels. A DMA is connected with an AHB interface module. The Ethernet module provides an AHB main connection mode which permits to access the state characters read and described by the SRAM in the chip to read and write in the write-in data into a buffer area.
