Embodiment Construction

[0044] Firstly, in the following description, the term "accumulator" will be understood to mean an element capable of storing electrical energy when supplied with current by an external electrical network and then subsequently capable of releasing such electrical energy. A storage battery of this type can be, for example, of an electrochemical type (eg lithium-ion) or of a different type (eg capacitor).

[0045] figure 1 A motor vehicle 1 is shown very schematically.

[0046] The motor vehicle 1 is here an electric vehicle. It thus comprises an electric motor 10 provided to drive in rotation the drive wheels 20 of said vehicle.

[0047] In a variant, the vehicle may be a hybrid vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine and an electric motor for driving the drive wheels of said vehicle.

[0048] as in figure 1 As shown in , the motor vehicle 1 includes an accumulator known as a traction battery 40 .

[0049] This traction battery 40 is provided here exclusively to s...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for estimating the aging of at least one cell of an accumulator, the method comprising the following steps: a) acquiring a voltage (Vcell) across the terminals of said cell and a voltage across said cell amperage (I); and b) calculating the maximum capacity and charge level of the battery cell from the voltage and amperage collected in step a). According to the invention, in step b), the calculation is performed by solving the equation: a system of discrete equations corresponding to modeling the battery cell as a circuit (42) comprising an ideal voltage source (E eq ), a resistor (R Ω ), the first resistor connected in parallel (R ct ) and capacitors (C dl ) pair, and at least one second parallel connected resistor (R i ) and capacitors (C i ) pair; and a discrete equation for estimating the change in maximum capacity of the battery cell.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention generally relates to the management of charge and discharge cycles of batteries. [0002] The invention relates in particular to a method for estimating the aging of at least one cell of an accumulator, said method comprising the following steps: [0003] a) collecting the voltage at the terminals of the battery cell and the amperage of the current through the battery cell, [0004] And b) calculating the maximum capacity and state of charge of the battery cell according to the voltage and current amperage collected in step a). [0005] The invention can be applied particularly advantageously to motor vehicles equipped with electric motors powered by accumulators known as traction batteries. Background technique [0006] It is well known that the electrical power that can be supplied by a battery decreases during a discharge cycle. The maximum amount of energy that can be stored by the accumulator then gradually decreases over ...
