The detecting method comprises the steps of when an inserted USB interface is detected, detecting the charging port type of the USB interface; when a detection stop condition is satisfied, stopping the detecting of the charging port type according to the detected charging port type; and when a re-detection condition is satisfied, re-detecting the charging port type once at predetermined intervals until the detection stop condition is satisfied according to the detected charging port type.
