Embodiment 1

[0121] Example 1 (E-1)

[0122] Dilute P-1 with isooctane to approximately 30% solids. To a vial was added 0.80 g of diluted P-1 and 1.96 g of HMDS. The solution was vortex mixed for 20 seconds or until the solution was homogeneous. If necessary, heat the solution to 60 °C and vortex until it is homogeneous. The solution was then allowed to cool to room temperature and 0.24 grams of octyl cyanoacrylate was added and vortexed until homogeneous.

[0123] E-2 to E-76 were prepared according to the method described in E-1 using the components listed in Table 6 to Table 10.

Abstract

The present invention provides a conformal coating composition comprising a crystalline copolymer and describes its use in barrier coatings.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to conformal coating compositions comprising crystalline copolymers and solvents, and coatings formed from the conformal coating compositions, which are useful as barrier films in medical applications. Background technique [0002] Barrier products are used to protect the skin of patients with incontinence, skin occlusions, frequent washing, ostomies, especially ileostomy and colostomy. High moisture from body fluids and the presence of corrosive enzymes can lead to devastating destruction of the skin, which can then lead to fungal infection, denuding and erosion of the skin. [0003] A common product used to protect the skin is an occlusive barrier paste. These barrier pastes are cumbersome to apply and clean up. In addition, the paste interferes with the fixation of the ostomy device. [0004] Liquid film-forming products that apply and protect the skin have also been developed, such as disclosed in US Patent Nos. 5,...
