Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a method and a device for processing a Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) route. The method includes the steps of: packaging the received BGP route from a BGP neighbor into a BGP Monitoring Protocol (BMP) message, wherein the BMP message carries first identification information which is corresponding to two or more monitoring servers; and sending the BMP message to the two or more monitoring servers according to a corresponding relationship between the first identification information and the two or more monitoring servers. The method and the device for processing the BGP route reduce memory occupation and improve the processing efficiency of the BGP route, and reduce the system burden and improve the resource utilization rate.
