Abstract

The invention discloses a method for statistics of K virtual machine (KVM) snapshot storage spaces. The method comprises the following steps: a query module reads description files of at least one snapshot type of snapshots formed in a database by a plurality of KVMs and updates snapshot sublists of a corresponding snapshot type; a judgment module obtains description files in the updated at least one snapshot sublist and obtains snapshot storage rear-end type field data corresponding to the description files; the snapshot storage rear-end type field data is taken as input, a format type of snapshots supported by a storage rear-end is judged through a calculation module, a storage space occupied by the snapshots corresponding to the description files is calculated in an asynchronous and concurrent mode, and size field data of the snapshots is updated in the database. Through the statistical method, effective statistics is performed on the snapshots generated by a storage rear-end type of a cloud platform supporting the KVMs, and the stability and reliability of the cloud platform for loading and running the KVMs are guaranteed.
