Abstract

A cylinder block water jacket structure having an insert including an inlet side insert inserted into an inlet side of a body coolant jacket of a cylinder block and an insert for a coolant jacket. The inlet-side insert includes: a separation portion vertically separating the body coolant jacket; a leg extending a predetermined distance to the lower portion to support the separation portion by the upper portion; and a flow blocking portion from both end portions A portion extends a predetermined distance to an upper portion of the split portion to block coolant injected into the upper portion of the split portion from flowing to a discharge side of the body coolant jacket. In addition, a connecting passage is formed in the separation portion to allow coolant to flow from a lower portion to an upper portion of the body coolant jacket.
