Abstract

The invention discloses a self-emulsifying type nonionic waterborne polyurethane curing agent and a preparing method thereof. The self-emulsifying type nonionic waterborne polyurethane curing agent is prepared from, by weight, 80-90 % of hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) monomer or derivatives of the hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) monomer, 10-20 % of materials such as polyethylene glycol methyl ether or poly propylene glycol methyl ether and 1-5 % of other auxiliaries, wherein materials such as polyethylene glycol methyl ether or poly propylene glycol methyl ether include, by weight, 0-30 % of materials such as polyethylene glycol methyl ether and 70-100 % of materials such as poly propylene glycol methyl ether. The self-emulsifying type nonionic waterborne polyurethane curing agent contains little or no solvents, is environment friendly and non-toxic, has low viscosity, and is very easily prone to be dispersed in waterborne polymer; the curing agent has a long activation period, and particle size of the curing agent is uniform after being emulsified so as to have good stability. In addition, according to the preparing method of the self-emulsifying type nonionic waterborne curing agent, there is no need to conduct any post-processing, products can be produced by using general prepolymer production equipment without adding new equipment so as to have the advantages of low equipment cost and simple operation and low energy consumption during the treating process.
