The power supply device of the gas water heater comprises a power supply module, a wire, a shell and a flow switch, wherein the power supply module is arranged in the shell; a commercial power input contact is connected to 220V commercial power; a DC output end of the power supply module is connected with a battery box output end of the gas water heater; the flow switch is connected to a water inlet pipe of the gas water heater; and an AC input end of the power supply module is electrically connected with the commercial power input contact, another AC input end of the power supply module is electrically connected with one end of a contact of the flow switch, and the other end of the contact of the flow switch is electrically connected with another commercial power input contact. When the gas water heater is used, the contact of the flow switch is automatically closed, the AC input ends of the power supply module and the 220V commercial power are connected, a DC output end provides the gas water heater with electricity for ignition, so that the water heater is normally used.
