According to the telescopic barrier gate disclosed by the invention, by setting the gate rod into the main rod and the auxiliary rod which are in mutual sliding connection and realizing back-and-forth movement through the electromagnet, the iron core and the spring, the auxiliary rod is enabled to always contract in the main rod during upward rotating and downward rotating processes of the gate rod, passengers, especially children, are prevented from being injured by the aside gate rod in upward rotating or downward rotating when passing through a pedestrian passageway nearby the gate rod, and possible potential safety hazards are greatly reduced.
