The pipe-jacking tunnel section optimization method comprises the following steps: firstly, pre-tunnelling is performed to enable an excavated tunnel to naturally deform, and the actual crown settlement value of a soil layer is monitored and taken as reference for follow-up judgment; crown settlement in the section shape which is the same as the excavated tunnel is calculated according to given parameters of the soil layer, the calculated value and the actual measurement value are compared, the given parameters of the soil layer conforms to the reality if the calculated value and the actual measurement value are consistent, and on the basis, inversion calculation of the overexcavation range is performed; different overexcavation section shapes are designed, crown settlements corresponding to the different overexcavation section shapes are searched repeatedly till the situation that the soil layer subjected to crown settlement is exactly right in contact with the top of a pipe-jacking pipeline without an additional clamping force, and the corresponding section subjected to overexcavation is taken as the optimal section; and crown settlements are continually monitored, the parameters of the soil layer are continually modified, and the appropriate overexcavation section shape is continually selected in the tunnelling process to ensure favorable gaps on the left and right and above pipe jacking to remove the up-and-down clamping function of the soil layer.
