Abstract

The invention discloses a message forwarding method based on a wireless mesh network. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a first message sent by a physical layer of a wireless mesh node; determining whether the first message is a to-be-forwarded message; if so, searching a next hop address corresponding to a destination IP address in a pre-obtained routing table; re-packaging the first message according to the next hop address to obtain a second message; and sending the second message to the physical layer, so that the physical layer modulates the second message and sends the same to the next hop node through radio frequency.
