Abstract

The invention discloses a texture feature clustering-based locomotive wheelset tread damage detection method. According to the method, a damage suspected region is determined through a tread image block texture clustering method; damage contour point detection is performed in the suspected regions through using gradient information; seed points are determined according to detected damage contour points; and a maximum likelihood estimation and 3sigma principle-based regional growth technology is adopted to segment the damage region based on the seed points; and a directional structural element-based morphological region merging technology is adopted to obtain a final damage detection result. The texture feature clustering-based locomotive wheelset tread damage detection method can accurately and efficiently judge the tread damage of a locomotive in a locomotive wheelset on-line detection system and has high practicability and a bright application prospect.
