Abstract

The invention discloses a method for improving network coding and data transmission based on an RPL protocol. The method comprises the steps of topological information obtaining, control over node codability growth, control over sensor node data packet retransmission, data coding and data decoding. The method aims at improving the robustness of data transmission of a wireless sensor network through a network coding scheme; under the condition that loss of the data transmission of the wireless sensor network has high possibility, the distributed data storage and network coding concept of Growth Codes is utilized, and the coding scheme of the Growth Codes is improved with the combination of the RPL routing protocol. By simulation testing and comparison with a network without a network coding scheme, the designed network coding scheme based on the Growth Codes is verified, so that the reliability of data transmission of a wireless sensor network operating the RPL routing protocol is improved obviously.
