Abstract

The invention discloses an adaptive adjustment method of the power and rate of Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN). The network topological structure and the access mechanism are confirmed. The network topological structure includes source nodes and a center node. The source nodes are classified according to their characteristics and the result is stored into the center node. The received data of a certain source node is decoded by the center node. The weighted average of the bit error rates of receiving in N times in succession is calculated. The type of the source node received is confirmed by the center node. The weighted average calculated is compared with the preset threshold corresponding to the node to determine whether to adjust the power or rate of the present source node. A corresponding strategy is taken according to the type of the present node. The result of adjustment is fed back to the present source node by the center node. The next data transmission is carried out by the source node according to the result of the adjustment. In the invention, the energy consumption of the sensor nodes is reduced to the greatest extent while the reliability of communication is satisfied.
