Abstract

The present invention provides a measurement gap report configuration method and user equipment. The method includes: receiving performance query information from a serving base station by user equipment, wherein the user equipment includes one or more radio frequency modules to support a series of frequency bands and a series of carrier aggregation frequency band combinations; sending user equipment performance information to the serving base station; and receiving measurement configuration information from the serving base station, wherein the plurality of measurement parameters include requirements for each frequency band supported by the user equipment and for each carrier aggregation frequency band combination The gap parameter, the required gap parameter includes a first Boolean variable and a second Boolean variable, which are used to respectively indicate whether a measurement gap is required for each frequency band related to a specific frequency band to be measured in the carrier aggregation mode and in the non-carrier aggregation mode.
