The push-pull driving device with protection comprises a square wave generating unit and a driving signal generating unit, wherein the square wave generating unit is suitable for generating two paths of pulse signals with the same cycle and opposite phase positions according to a pulse width modulation signal source; and the driving signal generating unit is suitable for modulating the two paths of pulse signals with the same cycle and opposite phase positions separately to generate two paths of pulse width modulation driving signals with overtime protection functions. The invention also provides a method for generating the push-pull driving device with protection. The method comprises the following steps: adopting the pulse width modulation signal source as input and performing frequency division on the pulse width modulation signal source into two paths of pulse signals with the same duty ratio and opposite phase positions; and modulating the two paths of pulse signals separately to generate two paths of pulse width modulation driving signals with overtime protection functions. The pulse width modulation driving signal can be applied to power driving circuits with opposite phase positions such as a driving push-pull circuit and a full bridge circuit; and when the pulse width modulation signal is in an abnormal condition, normal work of a switch tube can be guaranteed and the aim of protecting the switch tube is fulfilled.
