Abstract

The present invention discloses a flow sensing module comprising a body portion and a flow sensor. The body portion includes a main fluid inlet; a main fluid outlet, and a main fluid passage extending between the main fluid inlet and the main fluid outlet; a bypass fluid inlet communicating with the main fluid passage at a second position upstream of the main fluid outlet; a bypass fluid outlet communicating with the main fluid passage at a first position downstream of the main fluid inlet, wherein the first position is upstream of the second position; and a bypass fluid passage extending between the bypass fluid inlet and the bypass fluid outlet. The flow sensor is exposed to a bypass fluid passage for sensing the flow or flow rate of the fluid in the bypass passage, and the flow or flow rate of the fluid in the bypass passage is related to the flow or flow rate of the main fluid passage. The present invention does not provide a flow blocking member within the main fluid passage so as to have a very low pressure drop and also to increase the linearity and sensitivity of the flow sensing module.
